Fogg Napoleon Deodorant

You have always been there at the supermarket’s deodorant section, standing before a vast array of deodorants trying to figure out which one to purchase. You try out a specimen of each of them, ultimately smelling of a concoction of all the deodorants that you have shortlisted and tried on and failing to identify which one individually suits you the best.

Unless you don’t care about couple of hundred bucks for a deodorant, you know how painful it is to see your money go down the (aromatic) drain when the deodorant that you just purchased smells disgusting is a complete waste. So, in order to help you shortlist one, we today review the Fogg’s Napoleon deodorant.

A deodorant should satisfy the three basic needs that one expects from it.
1. How does it smell? (Obviously) 2. How much it costs? 3. How long does it last?

A good deodorant should balance these three needs (if you don’t care about the budget then you are free to try even the most expensive ones. Ferrari or Porsche edition deodorants perhaps?). Also it is worth noting that a particular deodorant won’t smell the same on every individual. A deodorant’s fragrance combines with your body scent and the result is the end product of the mixture of both, depending upon whether they complement each other making you smell great or else burn someone’s nostrils!

Fogg’s Napoleon deodorant is contained in a red canister. The 100g/120ml one has a gloss finish while the 125g/150ml one has a matte finish to it. The red color (as always) manages to instantly catch your attention amongst the other deodorant bottles. The cap’s design though is very basic. Uncapping it reveals a safety cap which is tamper proof and keeps it secure. The slim bottle of this deodorant is easy to grip; thanks to its “more deo, less gas” formula.

The Napoleon deodorant’s fragrance is honestly very good! The scent’s resemblance is very close to that of Magnolia Champaca or what is commonly known here as “Sonchapha” flower with a hint of musk aroma to it. The fragrance is strong but doesn’t overpower your senses (unless you spray it all over yourself like a barber spraying water on your hair when getting a haircut). It is warm and soothing.

Having recommended this deodorant to few other friends and after getting feedback on it from them, it’s safe to say that Fogg Napoleon does manage to compliment a variety of body scents. Commendable job there!

Also, since this deodorant does last for a very long time indeed; on your body as well as for the duration of days until the can runs dry. Assuming 5 squirts a day, depending upon what suits you the best, this deodorant can last for up to 200 days approximately or 100 days if you aplly it twice a day. That’s still a very good amount!

“India mein Fodgg hi chalta hai!” goes its advertisement. Cheesy advertisement and tagline aside, Fogg Napoleon gets thumbs up from us! Priced presently at 180 bucks for 100g/120ml and 225 bucks for 125g/150 ml can, it’s reasonably priced for what it has to offer. Try one for yourself!
